Contact and website operation
When you email us, we process your email address, signature and the information you provide to reply and discuss working together. Our basis is a legitimate interest in handling correspondence (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), or Article 6(1)(b) when you request steps before entering into a contract with us. Providing data is voluntary, but we need a reply address to respond.
The server may record request data, including your IP address, time and page URL, in logs used for security and troubleshooting. Our basis is a legitimate interest in keeping the website secure (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Display preference
The website opens in dark mode by default. If you change the theme, we save only that preference in your browser’s localStorage (blackbit_theme), shared across PL and EN. It remains until you change it or clear website data. It is not sent to us or used for analytics. If storage is unavailable, the choice lasts only for the current document.
Analytics, cookies and your choice
Analytics is optional. When measurement is enabled, we ask for permission before loading Umami. Declining does not limit your use of the website.
Analytics settings
We load Umami only with your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law). We measure page views, sources and campaigns, language, approximate country, device and browser type, sections reached and clicks. Requests to the analytics server also include an IP address and technical browser data. We do not send email content or record sessions. An email click does not mean a message was sent.
The website does not use advertising cookies. Umami does not require cookies. We store your analytics choice in your browser’s localStorage for 180 days, shared across PL and EN. This record only remembers your choice. If storage is unavailable, your choice lasts only until you leave the document.
You can withdraw consent as easily as you give it using “Analytics settings” in the contact section or on this privacy page. Declining does not limit the website or contact options. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Providers and retention
Hetzner hosts the website and Umami in Germany. Google Workspace handles email. Data may be available to authorised technical service providers and, where legally required, public authorities. Google services may involve processing outside the EEA; safeguards are set out in Google’s data processing agreement, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. Contact us for information about these safeguards.
We retain correspondence that does not lead to work for up to 12 months after the matter is closed, routine technical logs for up to 30 days, and detailed analytics for up to 6 months. Data related to contracts, legal duties or claims is kept for the relevant statutory period or until the applicable limitation period ends.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent. You may complain to the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office or your competent supervisory authority. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
